Michael Reynolds Biography
Entering his first season as Linebacker Coach for the Fort Scott Greyhounds. Reynolds came to Fort Scott after being an Assistant Defensive Line & Linebacker Coach for his former highschool team, Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School, in Wichita, KS.
Prior to Coaching, Reynolds attended and played football at the University of Kansas for 4 years (2011-2014). Played as a true freshman on special teams and on 2 deep roster. Led the Jayhawks in Sacks and TFLs his Sophomore & Junior years. In his Senior year at Kansas he led the Jayhawks in TFL’s, Sack’s, and Forced Fumbles. Reynolds ranked 5th in the Big XII in TFLs & Sacks, and was ranked 1st in the NCAA and Big XII in forced fumbles. Reynolds ended his Senior season with the Defensive Lineman of the Year award.
Reynolds was selected as a Free Agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after graduating from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2015. Spent time on practice squad before moving to Canadian Football League, with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. After time with Saskatchewan in 2016, Reynolds played overseas, in the German Football League, for the Potsdam Royals in 2017. While in Germany, Reynolds was part of winning the German Bowl Championship, while receiving player of the year honors that year. In 2018 Reynolds spent time in camp with the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL, and in 2019 returned to Germany and won the 2019 Euro Bowl Championship with the Potsdam Royals. In July of 2019 Reynolds received an invite to the XFL combine in St. Louis, and began coaching while waiting for the XFL Draft.
Reynolds is a father of two children, Kayden (6), & Evelyn (1). He is from Wichita, KS. and most of his family still resides in Kansas.
