Newman enters his first season at Fort Scott as the Defensive Line Coach. For the past three seasons he has worked closely with Coach Hunter as a student then graduate assistant with Murray State’s Offensive Line, as well as tight ends and fullbacks. Outside of on field coaching he brings a wide array of experience including player physical development and recruiting responsibilities while at Murray State.
Personal
Newman was a starting offensive linemen at Murray State before being sidelined with a knee injury. Following surgery, he stepped into coaching as a student assistant with the Offensive Line. Brant’s wife Hannah will join him in Fort Scott.
