Moses Harper begins his third season at FSCC and second as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach.
The 2013 version of the Fort Scott offense was explosive, as the Greyhounds finished first in Region VI play, averaging 429.0 yards per game. QB Jason Stewart finished with 1,905 yards passing and 15 TD, with 8 TD passes going to first team All-Conference WR Jared Dangerfield finishing the season with 43 catches and 694 yards. RB Jonathon Alford led the rushing attack, as he had 263 touches with 1,289 yards which is the most by any first year back in school history.
Coach Harper’s offense, in 2013, had 10 players who received post season honors with four first team, two 2nd team and four honorable mention All-Conference honors.
Prior to coming to FSCC, Coach Harper spent one season at Highland Community College.
Before his stop at Highland Coach Harper was a student assistant at Central Methodist University (CMU), coaching the receiving corps. Harper helped the Eagle offense set many new records including the single game mark of 652 total yards.
Before joining the Eagle football coaching staff Moses was a two sport standout for CMU. On the gridiron, Moses was a Heart of America All Conference Wide Receiver and helped the team to their first winning record in 18 years and set numerous offensive records. On the basketball court he played for Missouri Hall of Fame coach Jeff Sherman and helped lead the Eagles to a 28 win season and a Sweet Sixteen appearance at the NAIA D1 National Tournament. Following graduation Moses spent some time playing for the Wichita Wild in the Indoor Football league. Prior to his time in CMU, Moses played hoops lettering for two seasons at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Mo. where he was part of NCMC’s only 20 win season in school history.
Moses, a McComb, Miss. native, earned his Associates of Arts degree from NCMC and his Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Management from CMU. Coach Harper has a son Kaden Tyrell Harper, and resides in Fort Scott
