The Greyhounds were well represented in the all-conference selections this season, as four players earned Honorable Mention honors for their standout performances throughout the year.
Freshman outfielder Alex Downing put together one of the most productive offensive seasons for the Greyhounds, finishing the year with a .391 batting average, 70 hits, 72 RBIs, and 14 home runs across 54 games. Downing also posted a .513 on-base percentage and a .726 slugging percentage while adding 16 doubles and eight stolen bases to cap off an impressive campaign.
Sophomore infielder Max Erdley earned recognition after serving as a consistent presence in the middle of the Greyhound lineup and infield throughout conference play. His ability to contribute offensively while providing steady defense at second base made him a key piece of the Greyhounds' success this season.
On the mound, freshman starting pitcher Drew Nash delivered a strong season for the Greyhounds, leading the staff with nine wins in 14 appearances. Nash logged 72.2 innings with 58 strikeouts and six complete games, while also recording three shutouts during his freshman campaign. In conference action alone, he posted five wins and 36 strikeouts across 44 innings pitched.
Redshirt sophomore Cale Ortner was another major offensive contributor for the Greyhounds this season. Ortner hit .293 with 15 home runs, 45 RBIs, and 51 runs scored in 50 games played. He also carried a .423 on-base percentage and a .604 slugging percentage while providing versatility defensively.
The four all-conference honorable mention selections highlight the talent and depth of this year's Greyhound squad and provide strong momentum heading into next season.
