Baseball Finishes with 7th Most Wins in School History

FORT SCOTT, Kan. (May 13, 2024)— The Fort Scott Community College Baseball program is making history once again. With a remarkable 39-19 record, the Greyhounds have secured their place in the top ten of the program's most successful seasons. Their dominance was not limited to their home ground, as they triumphed in series against Pratt, Ottawa, Ellsworth, Southwestern (IA), Iowa Lakes, Baker, Allen, Coffeyville, Highland, Labette, and Neosho. Their winning conference record and a home game record of 30-9 are a testament to their prowess. 

The Greyhounds have not only made their mark locally but also nationally, earning impressive rankings in multiple categories across the country. They stand tall at 6th in home runs, 17th in extra-base hits, 19th in slugging percentage, 20th in total bases, and 21st in shutouts, a testament to their exceptional performance. 

Looking ahead, FSCC is set to maintain its dominance with one of the most promising recruiting classes in the country for 2024-2025. This ensures that the Greyhounds will continue to be a formidable force in the KJCCC, sparking excitement for the future.
