Game 1 Recap
Fort Scott snagged a late lead and defeated Labette Community College 11-6 on Thursday. The game was tied at six with The Hounds batting in the top of the sixth when Brody Szako homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.
Szako collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Fort Scott to victory. Szako singled in the third, singled in the fourth, homered in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.
Labette Community College knotted the game up at six in the bottom of the fourth inning, when an error scored one run for Labette Community College.
Jett Feltman pitched for Fort Scott to victory. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on two hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Easten Smith threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Haywood took the loss for Labette Community College. Haywood lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs while striking out six.

Fort Scott bested Labette Community College in a high-scoring affair, 16-6.FSCC got things started in the first inning. Jaret Nelson drove in one when Nelson doubled.
Peyton Medeiros earned the win for the Greyhounds. The ace lasted five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out four and walking zero.Ronk took the loss for Labette Community College.
