- Fort Scott grabbed an early lead on its way to a 12-5 victory over Johnson County on Saturday. Fort Scott scored on a home run by Brody Szako in the first inning, a single by Mitchell Szczygiel in the first inning, a groundout by Peyton Messenger in the first inning, a home run by Szako in the second inning, and a home run by Jake Skaggs in the second inning.
- Fort Scott took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Szako homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs and Skaggs hit a solo homer.
- Fort Scott notched five runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a walk by Evann Long, a single by Szczygiel, by Skaggs, and a double by Louis Holt.
- Jessie Moreno was the winning pitcher for Fort Scott. The righthander surrendered five runs on nine hits over five innings, striking out five and walking zero. Austin Neal threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Neal recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Fort Scott.
- #35 took the loss for Johnson County. undefined surrendered 12 runs on nine hits over five and a third innings, striking out 11.
- Fort Scott launched three home runs on the day. Skaggs had a dinger in the second inning. Szako had a homer in the first and second innings.
