Taylyn Schwartz, sophomore setter for the Greyhounds, was named the KJCCC Player of the Week. The honor is voted on by a committee made up of coaches, Athletic Directors and Sports Information Directors throughout the KJCCC.
Last week, Schwartz helped lead her team to a 4-1 finish, including a win over Highland. The Greyhounds also went 3-1 at the Vernon College Tournament. Schwartz accumulated 166 assists, 44 digs, eight kills and four aces. She is also currently ranked fourth in the country in assists per set.
In the first week of action, Schwartz led her team to a 4-0 start at the Fort Scott Tourney, where she was named the MVP of the Tournament.
Schwartz is from Eureka, KS and is the daughter of Sean and Cindy Schwartz
