The Lady Hounds went 1-1 on the weekend. They started the weekend at #6 Iowa Western in Council Bluffs Iowa. The Hounds were down 13 going into the half. The Revier Pirates never looked back and played lock down defense to end the game. Iowa Western ended up with a 100-61 win over the Hounds.
The Hounds were led by Ja'Teija Brown with 15 points. FSCC also had contributions from Jada Williams with 13 points and four assists and Jayla Bibbs stayed consistent with her fifth double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lady Hounds had a quick turnaround and played Southeast CC on Saturday afternoon at Arnold Arena. The Hounds and the Storm went back and forth and the game came down to the wire. The Hounds were down by two going into the second quarter. FSCC came back in the second quarter and held Southeast to just seven points with lockdown defense. The Hounds went up 23-20 at the break. FSCC were held to eight points in the third quarter with the Storm going up 38-31. The Hounds had a good run in the 4th but the storm tied the game at 48 a piece to go into overtime.
The Hounds played great defense holding the Storm to just seven points in extra time. The Hounds held off the Storms comeback winning the game 60-55. The Hounds showed true poise and commitment to winning in overtime.
Jayla Bibbs continued her double-double trend with 19 points and 14 boards and 7 steals. Kennedy Moss was the assist leader with 6 and chipped in with 10 points. Jada Williams had 8 points, 3 steals, 5 assist and 6 rebounds.
The Lady Hounds will be back in action McCook Nebraska on Friday the 25th at 5:30 as they take on Western Nebraska CC.
