The hot shooting Allen County Community College Red Devils topped the Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds women's basketball team by the score of 72-54 Wednesday evening. The Hounds were not able to survive a rough second quarter that saw them only score 7 points. Allen County was hot from the floor all night shooting 53% from the field compared to 34% from FSCC.
The Devils controlled the boards for most of the night, outrebounding the Hounds 41-32 and had many second chance buckets throughout the night. Leading the way for FSCC was JT Brown who scored 15 point on limited minutes due to foul trouble in the first half. Jada Williams had 10 points on the night, including a deep three as time expired in the third period. The Devils had four players in double-figures (Romero – 10, Smith – 15, Mbaye – 24, Martin – 10).
The Hounds will return to action this Saturday as they host the Hesston College Larks at 2pm in Arnold Arena.
