Hounds Fall to Independence

Hounds Fall to Independence

The Hounds went on the road to Independence Saturday, January 17th for a Jayhawk Conference game.  Independence was able to get out to a fast start as the Hounds struggled to get much going offensively.  Once the Hounds were able to settle down, the Pirates had taken a large enough advantage to be able to hold on for a 71-39 win.  Carlie Wilhelmi led the team with 10 points and Jessica McAdams pulled down 8 rebounds on the night.

"We came out in the first half and got off to a terrible start offensively.  Once we did start hitting some shots, Independence had already gotten a good grasp on the game and we unfortunately were not able to get ourselves back in this game.  So far this season we have been able to fight our way back into games but this was one that we weren't able to," stated Coach Reihmann.

The Greyhounds next game is Wednesday, January 21st at Arnold Arena against Neosho Community College at 5:30pm.
