Lady Hounds take on the KJCCC Opening Week

The Lady Hounds took 4 hard losses last week as they opened up their KJCCC conference schedule. FSCC fell to Labette County Community College and Johnson County Community College, two of the top teams from the KJCCC a year ago. Both represented the conference at the national tournament last year with JCCC placing third.

The Lady Greyhounds dropped their double header 11-1 and 8-0 on Tuesday vs. Labette. Leading FSCC's offense was Alex Perez and McKenzie Hersh, both going 2-5 for the day. FSCC's one run of the game day crossed the plate in the fifth inning of game one on an RBI single by Perez.

Thursday's double header vs. JCCC had a similar outcome. The Lady Greyhounds dropped 8-0 and 10-0 decisions. Cheyenne Brewer, McKenzie Hersh and KC Beardsley led the offense for FSCC, each hitting .500 on the day.

The Lady Hounds continue their season on Tuesday, March 22, at Neosho County. Game times are set for 2:00 and 4:00pm.
