The Hounds Basketball team hosted the Labette CC in the Playoffs in a Packed Arnold Arena. The Hounds got out to an early lead and never looked back. The Hounds got off to a hot start going up 14-3 at the first media timeout. The shots kept falling and the Hounds went up over Labette at the Half 39-19.
FSCC never looked back as they shot 50% from the field throughout the game. The Cardinals of Labette did out score the Hounds in the second half. 41-39, but the first half offensive explosion was to much for the Cardinals.
The Hounds kept the Cardinals at 37% shooting for the game and 27% from three.
The stars of the game are Clance Crosby with a double-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Sean Franklin had 16 points and 8 boards. Kris O'Neal and Keryn Collins dished out 10 and 9 assists a piece. Cooper Smith had solid play off the bench with 14 points, 3 assists and 2 boards.
The Hounds are now heading up to the semifinals in Region VI play at Mid America Nazarene University at 6:00 Friday March 10th. The Hounds will be taking on the Cavaliers of Johnson County CC.
