The Hounds Men's Basketball Team Hosted the Cavilers of Johnson County Community College on Saturday at a sold-out Arnold Arena.
Both teams started out hot. Trading baskets with a packed Arnold Arena cheering the Hounds on. The first media timeout the Hounds were down two to the Cavaliers with 14:06 remaining. The Hounds then went on a run leading 23-21 at the next media timeout.
Arnold was rocking before the half was finished. The Hounds played some lockdown defense and held the #1 scoring offense to just 36 in the first half. FSCC was up 40-36 at the half.
The Hounds came out on with all cylinders running in the second half and put on an offensive clinic. The Hounds shot 54% from the field and 46% from beyond the arc. FSCC went on a 11-0 run before the Cavs had to call a timeout to slow the Hounds momentum. Clance Crosby had the exclamation point with a huge two-handed dunk to put the game out of reach going up 90-71. The final from Arnold was 92-71 with the Hounds taking the victory.
FSCC was led by Kris O'Neal who had 18 points 4 boards and a perfect 10-10 from the line. Keryn Collins put on a show with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and a three made from the KJCCC logo. Clance Crosby continued his double-double trend with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Sean Franklin had 17 points off the bench and Andre Norris playing lock down defense throughout the whole game.
The Hounds are now 11-2 at home this season with a 3-1 mark in February.
