The Hounds go 2-0 on the week so far beating Neosho County CC as well as Labette County CC.
The Hounds beat the Panthers 81-64 making the Hounds 2-1 in conference play and 9-1 at Arnold Arena. The Hounds went up big at half 49-25 and never looked back. Fort Scott shot 48% from the field and 33% from three.
The Hounds were led by Keryn Collins with 20 points and 4 steals. Andre Norris with 16 points, 8 steals, 5 assists and 3 boards. Kris O'Neal was a passing out dimes all night with 10 assists, 9 points 2 steals and 4 rebounds.
FSCC then traveled to Labette County. Going into the game the Greyhounds knew that the Cardinals would be a tough match.
"To prepare we watched a lot of film and we were well prepared. Our coaches did a good job of letting us know their personnel and what they (Labette) like to do," Kris O'Neal said. "We came out and executed and got the win."
With the Cardinals drawing many fouls within the second half the Hounds took their opportunity to score and ran with it. Shooting 88% from the free throw line Fort Scott was on fire. Making these free throws and playing phenomenal defense was key to winning this game.
Kris O'Neal and Clance Crosby led the team in points. O'Neal with 19 and Crosby with 18. Crosby also had 12 rebounds, more than anyone else on the court.
"The best part of my game was picking up downlow, rebounding, getting put backs, and playing my role for the team to help us win," Clance Crosby said.
The Greyhounds continue to play stellar basketball and rely on one another to play their role on the court. Fort Scott takes down Labette 76-71.
