The Hounds went on the road to the #13 ranked Hutchinson Blue Dragons for there first contest of the year. The Hounds went point for point with the Dragons to begin the game.  The first media timeout the Hounds were down 17-15 but the Dragons went on a 17-4 run over a 4-minute span. Ten minutes into the first half the hounds were down 34-19.

The Hounds then cut the lead to 47 -38 with a 6-0 run by the Hounds, with 6 straight point coming from Baker Beal down low. The Blue Dragons closed out the half on a 11-2 run heading into half time with a 58-40 Lead.

The Hounds fought back after being down by 26 points, the Hounds chipped away and were down by 16 points with the Blue Dragons leading 113-97 with 2:07 remaining. The final score was 124-101 with the edge going to Hutchinson. The Blue Dragons hit 18 three pointers throughout the game. The Hounds shot an impressive 53% from the field for the game and 71% in the second half.

The players of the game for the Hounds were Baker Beal with 33 points who lead all scorers. Clance Crosby had double double with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Andre Norris chipped in 13 points, 5 steals and 4 assists.

Both teams scored the most points in series history and the combined 225 points were the most in series history.

The Hounds next contest will be against Avila JV this Friday at 8:00 PM at Arnold Arena.
