On Saturday, February 9th the Hounds traveled to Iola to play the Allen County Red Devils. During the first half, the Hounds were able to stay close to the Red Devils with hot shooting from Freshman Malori Gales and D'Shawna Lee. In the second half, Allen County came out of the locker room on fire from long range. They pulled away from the Hounds after making a total of six three pointers in the second half. The Hounds rallied back several times but could not overcome the three pointers that Allen County continued to make. Malori Gales had a career high 22 points and made five three pointers in the game.
"I thought we did a great job in the first half executing our game plan and containing Allen County's three point shooting. In the second half, we didn't follow through with the game plan and allowed them to get too many good looks, in which they started knocking down those shots. Malori and D'Shawna both had great games for us offensively," said Coach Reihmann.
The Hounds play again on Monday, February 11th at 5:30pm against Hesston Community College.
