Sharp signs with Missouri Southern

Fort Scott Community College women's basketball player Jolee Sharp signed with Missouri Southern to continue her basketball career. Sharp is a 5'9" guard from Fort Scott, Kansas.

Sharp averaged 14.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 4.2 steals per game while at FSCC. During her career at FSCC, Sharp scored 872 points, 444 rebounds, 261 steals and had 202 assists. For her efforts, Sharp was named to the 2011 KJCCC Honorable Mention All-Conference Team, the 2012 KJCCC First Team All-Conference Team, earned two KJCCC Verizon Wireless Basketball Player of the Week honors in the 2011-2012 season, one KJCCC Verizon Wireless Basketball Player of the Week honors in the 2010-2011 season and was named a NJCAA Player of the Week in 2012.

"Jolee had a great two years at FSCC," said FSCC Athletic Director J.D. Ettore. "She was not only a tremendous basketball player but she showed leadership in the classroom and in the community. Greyhound Athletics will miss Jolee a great deal but we are very proud of her continuing her education and her basketball career at the next level. We know she will instantly make her next program better."

"Jolee has been a lot of fun to coach the past two years," commented interim head coach Katie Reihmann. "She came in and made an immediate impact on our team by scoring and getting steals on defense. She represents FSCC women's basketball very well. We are very excited for her and look forward to watching her continue to be successful both on the court and in the classroom."

Sharp is the daughter of Kirk and and Sis Sharp of Fort Scott, Kansas.
