For the Greyhound Baseball program, the competition isn't limited to the field.  The team has lofty expectations in the classroom as well and sets out every year with a goal to win a national championship in Team GPA.

For the 2012-13 academic year, the Fort Scott Community College Baseball team has earned a 3.37 Team GPA.  There are 396 NJCAA Baseball programs across the nation and the team is hoping to win a natinoal championship this year and at the least, earn a Top 5 national finish for the fifth consecutive year.  Additionally, the baseball program is looking to finish with the highest Team GPA in the conference and region for the sixth consecutive year.

Five individual players have earned what was formerly known as Academic All-American status with the NJCAA.  Below is a list of players from the baseball program who earned national recognition from the NJCAA which will officially be announced the week following the 4th of July.  To qualify for these awards, a player must complete four semesters of school at an NJCAA member institution, have a cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher and participate as a member of an NJCAA athletic program.
