The Fort Scott Community College Volleyball team battled and dominated the Central Nebraska Tourney over the weekend and sweeping the competition with wins over North Platte, Iowa Central, Williston State and Northeast.
Friday's action saw a 3-0 sweep over North Platte and a 3-2 win over Iowa Central. Saturday's matches completed with a 3-0 sweep over Williston State and a 3-2 victory over Northeast. All of the Greyhounds' opponents have been in and out of the top-20 at some point this season.
"Our sophomores really stepped up this weekend," said FSCC head coach Lindsay Hill. "Our focus was having a sense of urgency about scoring points, which also relates to intensity. We just need to be consistent with it."
The Greyhounds (20-7, 2-4) put their four match winning streak on the line Wednesday night at Cowley, first serve set for 6:30. FSCC is 3-2 this season in road matches.
