Entering his third year at FSCC, Craig Richardson is the linebackers coach and coordinates strength and conditioning.

Before coming to Fort Scott, he graduated from Curry College in Milton, Mass. with a bachelor’s degree in history and politics. Previously, he spent three years as a personal trainer and group instructor for adults and children.

Richardson also coached varsity outside linebackers at his alma mater, Malden Catholic High School, in Malden, Mass. While attending Malden Catholic, he lettered in football for three years, and was named to the Catholic conference all-star team. He served as team captain and was the defensive and team MVP. After high school, Coach Richardson attended Bridgton Academy in Bridgton, Maine, where he earned the Coaches Award for a defensive player. He also served as the Academy’s 2010 keynote speaker.

Coach Richardson earned a full scholarship to Stony Brook University where he helped lead the team to three straight Conference Championships. During his sophomore year, he was named an all-conference performer and again prior to his junior season as a linebacker. Phil Steele and other FCS based magazines considered Richardson one of the top 30 FCS linebackers in the nation.
