Greyhound Volleyball Season Comes to Close at Region VI Tourney

The Fort Scott Community College volleyball team had their 2017 season come to an end on Saturday afternoon in Highland with a 3-0 loss to Cowley in the opening round of the Region VI tournament.

The Greyhounds lost in straight sets 25-22, 25-11 and 25-20 and wrap up the season with an overall record of 26-10 and a record inside the conference at 4-5.

The Greyhounds had plenty of momentum going into the Region VI tourney as they had won five straight and seven of their last nine.

FSCC couldn't get revenge on Cowley as they were swept earlier in the season on October 11th at Cowley losing that match in straight sets.

Fort Scott tallied six sophomore's on the roster this season which included Katie Gorman, Kayln Beel, Hanna White, Deardin Kelley, Megan Turner and Mariah Aebersold.

This sophomore class tallied a record of 53-21 during the last two years including a record of 10-8 in conference play.
