The 13th ranked Fort Scott Community College Volleyball team recorded a 4-set win at Wilson Field House in Ottawa on Thursday night, 25-17, 22-25, 25-18 and 25-21. The Greyhounds (12-4, 2-1) were dominate throughout most of the night with multiple players posting solid numbers.
"We have been working all week on our transition offense", said head coach Lindsay Hill. "We saw a lot of progress with this, however we still have some work to do".
FSCC recorded 61 kills with four Greyhounds posting double digit tallies with Kayln Beel, Megan Turner, Deardin Kelley and Brittany Barnekoff. Hanna White and Karlee Stanley combined for 55 of the team's 59 assists. Turner and White posted double digit digs but Katie Gorman led the way with 25 of the team's 71. The Greyhounds also combined to post 8.5 blocks.
"Next week is a big week for us in conference, so we need to buckle down".
FSCC will travel to Neosho County on Monday night with the start time listed at 6:30.
