Eight Hounds Honored For Academic Success

On Tuesday, January 8, Bryce Roderick, conference commissioner, announce the 2012 Fall All KJCCC Academic Teams.  Listed were eight of the twelve Hounds Volleyball Players.  To be named, a student/athlete must achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher in the fall semester.

Among those listed for the Hounds were freshmen Shelby Boxberger, Jacy Ermel, Bridget McGuire, Haylee Toothman, Danielle Walker and Sarah Williams.  Sophomores Ali Cure and Kate Smith represented their class on the team as well.

The eight listed helped the Hounds Volleyball Team achieve an outstanding 3.6 GPA in the fall.

"I am so proud of each of our young ladies for their achievement in the classroom.  We surpassed our goal of 3.5 GPA, and they are on track to becoming one of the top teams in the country for team GPA.  We preach academics so hard in our program.  It is always rewarding to see them check a goal off their list," stated Head Coach Lindsay Hill.

The Hounds Volleyball Team has once again started training, conditioning and lifting for their spring season.  Their first competition is in early April.
