Volleyball Wraps up Regular Season with Win Over Cottey

The FSCC Volleyball Team wrapped up their regular season competition on Friday, with a win over Cottey College.  With the win, the Greyhounds finished the 2012 season 23-11.  This is the first back to back 20 win season in school history.

Leading the Greyhounds was sophomore middle blocker Ashley Bell, who finished with 20 kills on 29 attempts.  "This is the best I have seen Ashley perform.  I am happy and proud of her," said Head Coach Lindsay Hill.

After the match, the sophomore class was honored.  Sophomores on this year's team include:

Ashley Bell - Moreno Valley, CA
Kate Smith - Liberty, MO
Ali Cure - Baxter Springs, KS
Taylyn Schwartz - Eureka, KS

All four sophomores are starters for the Hounds and play a vital part in them reaching Post-Season play this year.

The Hounds will travel to Coffeyville Saturday, November 3rd for the District N Tournament.  They will take on KCKCC at 2pm.  If they win that match, they will take on the winner between Coffeyville and Neosho County.  The winner of District N will advance to the NJCAA National Tournament at Owen's Community College, OH.
