Lady Hounds Can't Keep Up With Johnson County in 87-54 Loss

The Fort Scott Community college women's basketball hung around with Johnson County in the first and third quarters but the second and 4th quarters were a big difference in the Lady Hounds' 87-54 loss on Wednesday night at Arnold Arena.

In the first and third quarters, JC outscored FSCC 36-33 but in the second and fourth quarters, FSCC was outscored 51-21.

Fort Scott was led in scoring by Jada Perry as she finished the game with 14 points to go along with five rebounds. Sarah Kelley added eight points and six rebounds.

The Greyhounds shot just 35% from the field and hit five of 18 from three points range. They would connect on 13 off 22 from the free throw line.

Johnson County put together a solid night offensively as they connected on nearly 52% of its shots including knocking down 11 of 24 from three point range. JC posted four players in double figures led by Tristen McFeders with 22 points.

The Lady Hounds drop to 12-14 overall and 0-7 in conference play. They'll wrap up the regular season on Saturday afternoon vs. Highland at Arnold Arena, tip-off scheduled for 2:00.
