Lady Hounds Drop Conference Game at #3 Highland

The Fort Scott Community College women's basketball team continued its difficult schedule with an 85-43 loss at #3 Highland on Wednesday night.

The Lady Hounds had its struggles with the pressure from the Scotties as they forced FSCC into 33 turnovers. FSCC trailed 25-12 at the end of the first quarter and found themselves down 43-24 at halftime.

Fort Scott was able to hang around into the mid and late portions of the third quarter but a big run to close the frame led to Highland opening up a 59-32 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Kamaya Miller led the Lady Hounds in scoring with nine points along with eight rebounds. Jada Perry and Jade Winter each added eight.

Highland posted four players in double figures led by Marlane De Caravalho with 22 points and nine rebounds.

The Greyhounds fall to 11-11 overall, 0-4 in conference play and will be back in action on Saturday at home against Hesston at Arnold Arena, tip-off is scheduled for 2:00.
