Offense Struggles as Lady Hounds Fall to KCK

The Fort Scott Community College women's basketball team dropped their second straight conference game on Wednesday night at Arnold Arena, 75-47 at the hands of Kansas City Kansas Community College.

The Blue Devils got off to a fast start offensively and the Lady Hounds couldn't find their rhythm shooting just 30% from the floor including hitting just five of 16 from three point range.

KCK led 20-12 after the first quarter and 40-25 at half. FSCC was able to make some shots early in the third quarter and hang around early in the second half but KCK was able to continue their good game offensively and were able to pull away from the Greyhounds.

Ally McKenzie was the only Greyhound in double figure scoring as she finished with 12 points and four rebounds in 23 minutes of action. Shalina Harper added nine points and four rebounds off the bench while Arkiarra Clark finished with eight points.

The Blue Devils posted five players in double figures led by Lillie Moore and Gena Ojeda who each finished with 17 points.

The Lady Hounds drop to 11-9 overall and 0-2 in conference play. They'll travel to Johnson County on Saturday to continue conference play, tip time is scheduled for 2:00.
