The Fort Scott Community College women's basketball team bounced back after a loss to Cottey College on Saturday to defeat Ottawa JV on the road 94-81 on Monday night.
Ottawa's JV kept things close in the first half as FSCC led 20-19 after the first quarter and 42-41 at halftime. The Greyhounds would come out more efficient offensively in the second half outscoring Ottawa 52-40 in the final two frames.
The Greyhounds posted five players in double figures including four starters. Sarah Kelley and Shalina Harper led the way each posting 16 points. Jada Perry and Ally McKenzie finished with 12 points each and Arkiarra Clark added 10 points.
FSCC shot nearly 57% from the floor including almost 59% in the second half. It was also one of their better games from the free throw line as they buried 20 of 24 from the stripe.
Madison McAvoy led Ottawa's JV with a game high 40 points on 11 of 24 shooting. Ottawa JV shot 30% from the floor and hit 13 of 44 three point attempts.
The Greyhounds improve to 5-4 overall and have some time off for the Thanksgiving holiday. They'll be back in action on Saturday, December 2nd at Connors State College.
