Women's Basketball Split Two in Gladbach Classic

The Fort Scott Women's basketball team split a pair of games over the weekend in the Gladbach Classic at Arnold Arena, beating Bacone JV on Friday 80-50 and then losing to Cottey College on Saturday 78-68.

In the victory on Friday over Bacone JV, the women were very balanced offensively led by three in double figures, two with nine points and four more scoring at least five points.

Ally McKenzie led the way scoring 13 points, she added five rebounds and four blocks. Sarah Kelley and Kamaya Miller finished the game with 11 and 10 points respectively. Jade Winter put together a solid stat line across the board finishing with nine points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals. Jada Perry added nine points and five assists.

In the loss on Saturday to Cottey College, FSCC had three players finish in double figures led by Jade Winter with 14 points. Jada Perry also finished the game with 14 points and Shalina Harper added 10 points.

The women are 4-4 overall and are on the road to battle Ottawa JV on Monday night with the tip off scheduled for 7:00. This will finish a stretch of three games in five days before the Thanksgiving holiday.
