The second half Labette kept the game close by knocking down a couple important three pointers. Fort Scott was able to knock down some critical free throws and keep their lead during the last five minutes of play, even extending it from what once was only a three point lead.
All five starters scored in double digits, being led by Baylea White with 20 points. Andrea Valadez scored 17 points and led in rebounding with 9.
The Lady Greyhounds take on Brown Mackie College this Saturday, February 21, at 2pm.
Coach Reihmann commented, "We did a great job coming out and being aggressive right away tonight. We moved the ball very well offensively and had very good shot selection. Defensively the team did a great job executing the game plan and getting stops down the stretch. This was a great win tonight and I'm very proud of the team for coming out with such great energy."
