The Hounds hosted Johnson County Community College on Wednesday, February 20th. Before the game, the Hounds recognized three sophomores, Burgandie Lewis, Erika McKenzie, and Rachael Eldridge who were playing their final home game in Arnold Arena. In the first half, Fort Scott had trouble finding their shooting touch during the first few minutes, but was able to make a run to get the score to 18-32 going into halftime. During the second half, the Hounds were unable to get their offense going again but were able to hold Johnson County to only 26 points in the half. FSCC fell to Johnson County, 32-58.
"I thought our defense did a very good job holding Johnson County to only 58 points in the game. Offensively, we were unable to get any shots to fall but I was glad to see they took pride on the other end and rebounded well against a team that outsized us," said Coach Reihmann.
The Hounds travel to Highland on Saturday February 23rd, tipoff is at 1:00pm.
