Lady Hounds Add Two More to 2013-14 Roster

Coach Kristin Schalk and the Lady Hounds Softball Team announced the addition of two more talents to the 2013-2014 roster.  Ashley Lake and Stephanie Eckhoff will be joining the group of fifteen previously signed for next year's squad. 

Ashley Lake is a 5' 4" Short Stop and Outfielder from Hoyt, KS. Lake attends Royal Valley High School where she plays for Michelle Finnegan.  While in high school, Lake has also participated in Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Track, Varsity Basketball and Powerlifting.  She was the 2012 Kansas State Power Lifting Champion in the 114 lb. class.  She has also been an AAU Indoor Track National Placer.  In her spare time, she also is involved in Art Club, Spanish Club, Youth Friends and volunteers for the Salvation Army and Ronald McDonald House.  Ashley is the daughter of Jessy and Angel Lake and is Undecided on her major.

Stephanie Eckhoff is a 5'6" Pitcher and Outfielder from Republic, MO.  Eckhoff attends Republic High School where she was coached by Lee Dishman.  While at Republic, she collected a list of softball accolades including 2012 1st team All-Conference, 2009 2nd team All-District and 2010, 2011 and 2012 1st team All-District. Eckhoff plays travel softball for the Worth Midwest Nationals coached by Neil Routh. When asked why she chose FSCC, Eckhoff commented, "I liked the school and the softball program." Stephanie is the daughter of Mike and Debbie Eckhoff and will be majoring in Psychology.

"Ashley and Stephanie are both versatile players.  I'm excited to have them as members of the Lady Hounds Softball Team," said Coach Schalk.
