Coming back from an eight run deficit in the bottom of the fourth, the Lady Hounds Softball team fought their way back to produce a five run seventh inning to defeat the visiting Neosho County Panthers, 10-9. Snapping a program losing streak, FSCC produced their first overall and conference win of the season. "I couldn't have been more proud," exclaimed Coach Schalk. "It was a full team effort and everyone kept battling until the end."
The Lady Hounds showed there offensive power, hitting a team .401 average at the plate. Leading the offensive attack was freshman short stop Lizzie Aller, sophomore catcher Jessie Camac and freshman second baseman Leah Zimmerman. Aller compiled a 4-8 showing at the plate with a triple, four RBI's, two runs and three stolen bases. Camac continued anchoring down the four whole with a 3-6 performance at the plate, with a double, RBI, run and walk. Zimmerman showcased her speed out of the nine whole with a 4-5 day at the plate, with two runs, a walk and two stolen bases. "Our discipline and pitch selection at the plate has been great. They are staying patient and finding the right pitch to hit," commented Coach Schalk.
