Lady Hounds Drive in Nine Runs

The Lady Hounds started off their weekend pair of double headers with a strong offensive showing against Pratt Community College.  FSCC drove in nine runs in the twin bill outing, compiling a team batting average of .351 against the Beavers.

Leading the Lady Hounds at the plate was the trio of sophomores Jessie Camac, Kelli Cullor and Kayla Holder.  Camac again anchored the Hounds, hitting out of the four hole to bring in three hits, two walks and two runs in seven appearances at the plate.  Cullor lead the team with a .666 average for the double header, earning four hits, including a double, two runs and an RBI in six at bats.  Holder shined from the number two spot in the lineup with a .600 average for the day, tallying three singles, with two runs and two walks.  Three other Lady Hounds, Lizzie Aller, Areal Shirley and Leah Zimmerman, hit above .400 for the day.

"I'm really happy with our success at the plate," said Coach Schalk.  "We are getting runners on base, having multiple base hits and driving runners in."
