Softball Hosts Strikeout Cancer Game

FSCC Softball hosted their first annual Strikeout Cancer game, playing host to Dodge City on March 16th. The Lady Hounds were found wearing bright pink jerseys and bows in support of cancer awareness and research.  The proceeds from FSCC's Strikeout Cancer T-shirt fundraiser were donated to the American Cancer Society to provide more funding for cancer research.  The Lady Hounds would like to thank everyone who participated in the fundraiser!

The Lady Hounds found themselves playing on a cold and windy day, but the weather did not slow down the hustle and heart of the FSCC Softball Team.  The Lady Hounds were led offensively by the top of the line up in lead-off hitter Lizzie Aller and two hole hitter Kayla Holder.  Aller and Holder both went 3 for 5 on the day.

"It was a really cold day outside, but the ladies didn't let it slow them down.  I'm proud of the heart and determination they have been playing with over the last week.  They have proven that they don't let anything get in their way of working towards their goals," said Coach Schalk.
