The Greyhound Softball Team excelled in the classroom this past fall. The team's academic goal of an overall grade point average of 3.0 was surpassed by the Lady Hounds earning a 3.2 GPA as a team.
"The Lady Hounds worked very hard and put in a lot of time this fall. I'm really proud of their effort and focus in the classroom. Academics are of top priority to us and knowing we are pushing ourselves in the classroom as well as on the field is a great feeling," said Head Coach Kristin Schalk.
In addition to our team accomplishments, three Lady Hounds were individually recognized for their academic success. Michala Shaklee and Kelli Cullor earned Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.5-3.74 and Leah Zimmerman earned Dean's Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.75-3.99.
The softball team would like to thank everyone who took part in helping them achieve success. The Greyhounds head into their spring season in a short 14 days. Their season opener kicks off February 14th at Ottawa University with their home opener following quickly behind February 26th.
