Greyhound Softball Looks Forward to Getting Started

The Lady Greyhound Softball team is beginning the 2012-2013 year with an exciting mix of players hungry to get out on the softball field. This year's team is comprised of four returners, two transfers and eight freshmen. Returning for the Lady Greyhounds are Sophomores Jessie Camac, Kayla Holder, Areal Shirley and Brooke Wheeler. "These ladies bring a great deal of leadership to our program. I am looking forward to watching them grow even more as players this year."

The newcomers to the Lady Greyhound team include transfers Kelli Cullor of Paola, KS and Hailey Foster of Concordia, MO, and freshman Lizzie Aller of Lee Summit, MO, Rachel Davis of Emmett, KS, Mackenzie Edson of St. Joseph, MO, Nicole Karlin of Topeka, KS, Sarah Male of Shawnee, KS, Samantha Owens of LaCygne, KS, Michala Shaklee of Madison, KS, Kyndra Thompson of Galena, KS and Leah Zimmerman of Fort Scott, KS. "This group of newcomers is versatile and hard working. I'm excited to see the great things they will accomplish during their time at FSCC."

Head Coach Kristin Schalk is heading into her first season leading the Greyhound Softball Team.
