FSCC Rodeo Hosts the Dan VandeWynkel Alumni Rodeo

Fort Scott Community College's Rodeo Team will be hosting the Dan VandeWynkel Alumni Rodeo October 25, 2014.  Performances are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Arnold Arena.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children and $10 for families (two adults plus children).

Events include bareback, barrel racing, breakaway, bull riding, calf roping, goat tying, saddle bronc, steer wrestling and team roping.  Events are open to FSCC alumni and Monday, October 20 was the last day to register.

Chad Cross, Head Rodeo Coach said, "We love hosting the alumni rodeo every year.  It's a great chance to showcase new and old talents."

The Rodeo Team will also host an athlete auction at 6 p.m. that day.  Community members are welcome to bid on a few hours of hard work from various rodeo athletes.  All money raised will go towards supporting rodeo athletics.

The Alumni Rodeo is named for former Dean of Students and psychology instructor, Dan VandeWynkel.  VandeWynkel had a special place in his heart for FSCC rodeo.
