Men's Basketball Drops Pair in Iowa

The Fort Scott men's basketball team lost twice over the weekend in Mason City, IA to drop to 1-2 overall early this season.

The Greyhounds lost 65-60 on Friday against North Iowa Area Community College and fell to Ellsworth on Saturday 78-55.

Andre Nelson and Tyler Zinn led the Greyhounds in the game on Friday with 13 and 11 points respectively. FSCC's offense shot 41% from the floor including just 36% in the second half.

North Iowa Area Community College shot nearly 48% from the floor and was led in scoring by Jaycob Payne who poured in a game high 15.

In the loss to Ellsworth on Saturday the Greyhounds shot 34% from the floor and hit seven of 21 from three point range. Zinn led the Greyhounds with 12 while Jayden Davis added 12 as well.

FSCC was outscored 47-30 in the second half.

The Greyhounds are back at home on Wednesday night with a doubleheader with the women's basketball team as they will play St. Mary's JV.
