Greyhound sophomore guard Austin Danner has signed a National Letter of Intent to play with Graceland University, which is located in Lamoni, IA. Austin is a two year starter for the Greyhounds and averaged 13 points per game along with averaging 5 rebounds per game this year.
Austin was part of a team this year that won the first playoff win in 44 years, and had a record of 10-3 at Arnold Arena. Austin was also named by the coaches Honorable Mention All-Conference and Second Team All-Region.
Austin finishes his career at Fort Scott as one of the most prolific shooters in Greyhound history and finishes as the fourth all-time leading scorer in Greyhound history.
"Austin is going to a school that is asking him to come in and do what he does best, which is shoot the ball. Austin was an integral part in establishing a solid foundation to keep the program growing in the right direction. It has truly been an honor to coach Austin and watch him grow and become the player that he has become. Graceland did a good job of recruiting Austin and is giving him a great opportunity to be successful on and off the court," said Fort Scott Head Coach Michael Cook.
