Fort Scott, KS - Kansas Governor Sam Brownback today announced numerous appointments to boards and commissions.
"We are fortunate to have individuals who are willing and dedicated to serve on these boards and commissions," Governor Brownback said. "I appreciate their help to continue making Kansas a great state."
Local resident, J.D. Ettore, was appointed to the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Board of Trustees.
Seven members make up the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Board of Trustees who are appointed by the governor. The board oversees the Hall of Fame museum located in Wichita which is dedicated to preserving the history of sports in the state of Kansas.
J.D. Ettore, Fort Scott, is being appointed to a four year term. He received a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communications from Mount Saint Mary's University and is currently completing his master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Fort Hays State University. J.D. is currently the Athletic Director at Fort Scott Community College
"I'm excited and honored to serve on the KSHOF Board of Trustees," commented Ettore. "This appointment is very exciting, not only for me personally, but also for FSCC and the Fort Scott community."
