The Fort Scott Community College Football team wrapped up the 2017 season with a 69-0 home loss to #16 Garden City on Saturday afternoon at Frary Field.
The Greyhounds and Broncbusters battled hard in the first quarter as GC led 7-0 after one but the defending national champs exploded for 21 points in the second quarter and led 28-0 at halftime.
Garden City would add 24 in the third quarter and 17 in the fourth. Garden City piled up 433 yards of offense including 326 via the run game.
Fort Scott had their troubles establishing a run game finishing with 81 yards on 37 carries as a team. QB Dalton Sneed was lost in the first quarter due to an injury and Garrett Sharpe finished the game completing four of 15 passes for 43 yards and an interception which was returned 87 yards for a touchdown.
Ed Aldred led the Greyhounds with five receptions and 56 yards.
The 2017 sophomore class included Armani Davis, Dalton Sneed, Raekwon Morgan, Elmore Hempstead, Edward Aldred, Kyle Harrison, Jeffrey Keene, Trey Espy, Brody Southwell, Dominic Cizauskas, Jordan Griffin, Lane Moran, Tyrone Neal, Micah Frayer, Dakota Crichton, Aaron Adams, James King Jr., Andrew Carter, Fred Daughtry, Tony Walker Jr., Chauncey McCaulie, Breylin Mitchell and Daeqwan Bailey.
Kale Pick's first season as head coach of the Greyhounds finishes at 4-6 overall and 2-5 in the Jayhawk Conference.
