Greyhound Football Back in Action After Two Week Break

The Fort Scott Community College football team is gearing up to resume the 2017 season after a rare two week break. The Greyhounds (0-3, 0-2) last time out went to Council Bluffs, IA and was defeated 63-6 at the hands of now 9th ranked Iowa Western. 

Against the Reivers, the Greyhounds mustered 220 total yards of offense with 167 coming in the ground game. The defense surrendered over 600 yards of offense and 33 first downs to IWCC. 

FSCC lost in week one at Butler 42-14 and was beat in the home opener in week two by Independence 30-16 prior to the game in Council Bluffs, IA.

The Greyhounds come back from the break with a tilt against Coffeyville. The Red Ravens (1-3, 1-1) got a big win early over now #12 Butler but have losses surrounding that win against Hutchinson, Ellsworth and Iowa Western. 

Coffeyville won the match-up last season over the Greyhounds 27-20. 

Fort Scott and Coffeyville will kick-off at 7:00 PM on Saturday night at Frary Field.
