Former Greyhound Linebacker Lavonte David is back at it again. Lavonte, a rookie linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was the leading tackler with 139 total tackles. Lavonte now has been the leading tackler for his past three teams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and FSCC.
If you were able to watch Lavonte play this past season, you would notice that he had a green dot on the back of his helmet. The green dot indicates that Lavonte had a microphone in his helmet and that the coaches would tell him the call through the microphone and he would have to relay the call to his players on the field. Not bad for a rookie.
In other former Greyhound news, offensive tackle Jamarcus "Yoshi" Hardrick has packed his bags and moved to "the Big Easy", New Orleans. Yoshi expects to come in and make a big impact for the Saints' offensive line in the upcoming 2013 season. The Greyhound Football family is proud that Yoshi is now part of the Saints' organization and we wish him the best of luck.
