Hounds Season Closes Out at Super Regionals

The Fort Scott Community College baseball team saw their season come to an end at the Super Regional Championships in Wichita, KS.  The Greyhounds lost the first game of the tournament 4-2 to eventual champion, Neosho County Community College.  Game two saw the Greyhounds earn a 5-2 lead over Seward County Community College in the fourth inning, but after tying the score 5-5 in the fifth inning, the Saints scored three runs with two outs in the bottom of the eighth to make the score 8-5.  The game would end that way closing out the Greyhounds season with a record of 40-17.

Head Coach, John Hill III, had these comments after the game, "I couldn't be happier with the way we competed all season.  This is a special group of kids who each contributed in their own unique way.  Our sophomores will be missed dearly, but we are excited for the future because of the promise that our freshmen showed this year."
