Fort Scott Community College's freshman outfielder, Ka'ai Tom, earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Player of the Week honors. Tom helped the Greyhounds to six consecutive wins in the week versus #6 Cowley College and Independence Community College. Tom amassed 10 hits, including two doubles and five homeruns, while driving in 15 runs to lead Fort Scott. For the season, Tom, a freshman from Kaneohe, HI, is batting .400 with 10 homeruns, 7 doubles, 37 rbi's, and 38 runs scored in 33 games. Fort Scott returns to action this weekend to host Labette County Community College for doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday at Lions Field in Fort Scott. Both days are slated to begin at 1:00pm. The Greyhounds are 24-11 overall and 15-9 in conference play.
