Greyhound Baseball Continues Academic Achievement

The Greyhound Baseball Team had another impressive semester in the classroom marking the 9th consecutive semester in a row that the team earned a grade point average surpassing 3.0. This fall, Greyhound baseball players earned a team GPA of 3.42. Of the 31 players on the team, 24 earned a GPA above 3.0, including 5 who had a perfect 4.0, while 13 had a GPA between 3.50-3.99, and 6 more who had between 3.0-3.49 GPA. Success in the classroom is the highest priority for the program and both the players and coaching staff take great pride in the team's academic achievement.

"We have an ultimate program goal of winning a national championship in Team GPA every year. The last 4 years we have finished 6th, 3rd, 4th, & 4th in the nation out of 396 NJCAA Baseball programs. Needless to say, we have a lot of programs on the national level to compete with, but the GPA our team earned this fall is a great start toward our ultimate goal," comments Head Baseball Coach, John Hill III.

The Greyhounds head into the spring looking to reach their third straight 30 win season with their first game on February 9th at home versus Southeast Nebraska Community College.
