FSCC Baseball Continues Partnership with FSCC Construction Trades

As has been the case in years past, the Fort Scott Community College baseball program has continued to pursue renovations to Lyons Field. This year's project included the extension of the brick backstop from behind home plate to each of the dugouts. This project could not have been completed without the help of the Construction Trades program at FSCC under the direction of Nacoma Oehme and the students in his program. Head Coach John Hill III shared his thoughts saying: "We always try to improve our facilities to build excitement for our players and visiting recruits. I am very grateful to the construction trades program, they consistently aid in the renovations to our field, and the work is always done with the upmost quality and care. Our facility looks beautiful, and a major part of that is because of Nacoma and his students." As the semester comes to a close, the baseball team is finishing up off season weights and conditioning and will say goodbye to the players as they return home for the holiday break December 14.
