The postseason honors continue for the Greyhound baseball team as the team finished 4th in the nation in Team GPA and had 2 players in Cody McNeece and Caden Cleveland earn Exemplary Academic Achievement honors with a GPA of 3.60-3.79. The Exemplary Academic Achievement honor is the new name for what was formerly known as Academic All-American honor. As a team, the Greyhounds earned a 3.31 GPA which earned them 4th in the nation out of 395 NJCAA Baseball programs. This marks the 4th consecutive year the Greyhound Baseball team has finished in the top 4 of the nation in Team GPA as well as the 5th consecutive year the team has had the highest GPA in the Jayhawk Conference.
Head Baseball Coach, John Hill III, has these comments on his team's accomplishment: "I can't say how proud I am of our players and their commitment to their academic careers. As mentioned, our academic awards are the most important awards for us every year. I have a hard time fathoming that our players finished 4th out of 395 NJCAA baseball teams across the nation. What an accomplishment! While we are proud of our players, this achievement couldn't happen without a first class faculty and staff that works with our entire student body and does a fantastic job with our students. This is a team accomplishment that is awarded to the baseball team, but I consider it a team accomplishment that has been awarded to our college. Congratulations to all those involved with this award!"
